Senior Loan Processor Position
Job Description / Duties / Requirements


Job Title: Loan Processor
Reports To: WA Region Branch Mgr
Supervises: NA
Location: WA Branch Office

Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Loan Processor is a professional, polite and efficient multi-tasker responsible for managing all stages of the loan file from origination to closing within investor guidelines and the Land/Home structure. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Initial review of loan files to validate data integrity and ensure all required disclosures are in the file
  • Input Borrower information into LOS system
  • Run AU, review findings
  • Re-structure loan file, if needed
  • Submit loans to Mortgage Bank or Wholesale Lenders
  • Order, track, review and ensure accurate completion of appraisal and Preliminary Title report
  • Confirm Verifications of Deposit and Verify Employment (when needed)
  • Follow-up on/Obtain outstanding conditions including, credit reports, 1040’s, 4506T's, appraisals, bank statements and W-2’s
  • Remain in contact with Loan Officer, Realtor, Borrower, Lender, etc. throughout loan process
  • Assist manager with administrative tasks, as needed
Qualifications:
  • A Minimum of 2-3+ Years of High Volume Mortgage Loan Processing
  • Two year college completion preferred
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional loan underwriting guidelines, pricing models and standard underwriting conditions
  • Mastery of Fannie Mae DO/DU Automated Underwriting System
  • Freddie Mac LP AUS experience also preferred, along with FHA Total Scorecard findings
  • Understanding overall loan packaging and familiarity with a variety of loan origination systems a plus
  • Experience with PC Lender LOS preferred, but not required, as training is provided
Requirements:
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
  • Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships
  • Demonstrates predictable and regular attendance
  • Familiarity of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel needed
  • The ideal candidate is a self motivated go-getter, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment where time deadlines are mission-critical. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment
  • Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments, under moderate stress levels
